We’re off to see The Wizard, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz! No? We’re off to see The Wicked Witch of the West? What in the world is going on!? For almost three decades, fans have returned to the Land of Oz thanks to the Broadway sensation that is Wicked. Based on the novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire, Wicked explores the life of Elphaba, who eventually becomes known as The Wicked Witch of the West. However, as readers and theatergoers know, the story isn’t quite how we remember it, as Elphaba isn’t nearly as wicked as the story goes. With so much rich material, there’s no time like the present to jump on a podcast and have a full-blown Wicked discussion!

With the film just around the corner, The Cosmic Curtain host Brian Kitson wanted to revisit the novel and musical to explore what people can expect from the first Wicked movie.
